Alta Audio proprietary technology is changing what speakers can do.
Alta Audio are one of hi fi’s best kept secrets but not for much longer! Michael Levy is a speaker designer who “thinks outside the box” and has designed a remarkable hybrid transmission line/ported system that means all of his speakers deliver a full range listening experience. The ALEC is an absolutely beautifully finished “real home”-sized floorstanding speaker, that does not ‘loom over the room’, but whose bass output has been measured down to a subterranean 29Hz! A hugely musically satisfying model. Each model performs well above it’s price point and they have been garnering emotional responses with many ‘hardened’ reviewers who are basically shaking their heads in disbelief. The reviews of all the models are spectacular with some saying they are the best speakers they have ever heard, regardless of price!
The Alta Audio Alyssa paints two of my absolute must-have qualities. The overall tonality contains a wisp of warmth that makes the human voice seem more human.
