About The Titan 707 Tineo Finish

The Titan series features drive units crafted exclusively for Kudos  by world-leading specialists SEAS. All four Titans share the same superb  K3 tweeter, a version of a legendary SEAS unit specially re-engineered  to tailor its capabilities for the Titans. The 707 then employs two 220mm mid/bass drivers, set up in an isobaric configuration, so one of the drivers is on the front baffle, the other is mounted in the chamber behind – the idea being that the pressure in this chamber remains constant (ie, against the back of the forward firing driver) to lower distortion. This method also has the benefit of being able to alter the reflex port design to make a more easily 'room integrating' speaker.

And the Tineo veneer on this pair is very beautiful too.

The Winters Audio Experience

A really satisfying listen is how we would sum up this speaker. Easy to set up because they're not overly room fussy, even though they have marvellous extended bass. They need a bit of power behind them to get going (medium efficiency and 6 Ohm load), but in a good setup they are rich, fast and transparent. We like that Kudos use fairly simple crossovers, giving a natural sound, and cabinet construction is great so no discernible resonance artefacts to colour proceedings. But the isobarik experience is a bit of a revelation, and in a room where bass response is proving tricky with other types of speakers, these Titan 707's may be the perfect answer.
