Directivity Control
At the heart of Icon 12 is the Quad Vertex Sound Field constant-directivity horn. This geometry provides controlled dispersion that integrates cleanly into real rooms, yielding an airy, flowing presentation that remains powerful and authoritative.
Horn Driver
The horn is coupled to a 3.4" carbon-fiber-diaphragm horn driver, chosen for low distortion, speed, and textural nuance. Transients snap into focus while fine details remain intact.
This unique driver in combination with our horn technology will make you forget everything you thought you knew about horn sound.
Woofer
A 12" ultra-linear, long-stroke extended-range woofer anchors the system with deep reach and headroom, maintaining control and composure as levels rise. Making a high-capacity woofer is one thing, making it also work flawlessly into the midrange is a completely different matter. If you get to listen to the Icon 12 we are convinced you will agree we have succeeded in this task.
Amplifier Matching
With nominal 8 Ω impedance and generous sensitivity, Icon 12 pairs beautifully with low-power tube amplifiers and also thrives with conventional Class A/AB and modern Class D designs. The Icon 12 can take a lot of power and has more capacity and dynamic capabilities than most ordinary HiFi loudspeakers.
The Enclosure
Icon 12’s asymmetrical cabinet eliminates parallel walls to reduce resonances and internal reflections. The precisely engineered horn and driver layout, together with aluminum outriggers, deliver stability, clarity, and room-friendly placement.
A choice of different luxurious finishes understates the High-End feeling of the Icon 12.
