About The SPRINT 3
SPRINT 3 is a reflex-loaded, two-way bookshelf speaker of moderate proportions. It is equipped with the in-house designed 28mm soft-dome tweeter, with its built-in ARID (Anti Reflection Inner Dome) technology and specialized back-chamber design that significanly lowers rear energy intermodulation and standing waves. And Revival Audio's BSC (Basalt Sandwich Construction) 18cm woofer, delivering the best balance between rigidity, low-weight and damping.
The SPRINT 3 employs a more economic cabinet design and less expensive materials than those used in the ATALANTE range. But its a compromise that has very little impact on sound quality because of the use of Revival's 'Elytron' front baffle – a design born from hundreds of hours of painstaking simulation that provids a smooth waveguide effect and minimises defraction.
So the combination of the Revival's in-house drivers, clever anti-resonance devices and the Elytron sculpted front baffle produce a small spealer of incredible value and class leading performance. Indeed, used in a small to medium sized room and mached with comparable electronics, these speakers will complete a great sounding mid-priced system capable of fun, drama and a genuine audiophile performance.
Tech Insight
Basalt Sandwich Construction (BSC). The 7" woofer (and the 12" woofer on the ATALANTE 5) employs a unique sandwich construction that consists of 3 layers. A special felt layer is applied to the back of a basalt membrane and a specialised polymer glue lies inbetween . A combination that results in the best possible balance between stiffness and damping.

Matching & Setup
SPRINT 3 is a great bookshelf/standmount speaker. With the combination of outsanding driver technology and its software simulated baffle design, it offers outsatnding sound quality for the price. This speaker's 87dB sensitivity is considered around average and it's 6 Ohm impetance is a relatively easy load, but this is not a speaker recommended for low powered amplifiers. A good 30+ Watt valve amp, or a solid state amp from 50 Watts and up should be a good match. With more power though, say around 50-100 Watts, these speakers really shine.
Best suited to smaller rooms, these speakers work very well on shelves in a high-quality 'second' system in an office say, or on stands in a main system in a smaller room. They are very easy to position but do benefit from fine position adjustment to really bring their incredible imaging into focus. If you are looking to stand mount then we would recomment the matching Revival Audio Stands
